Ingredients
Scale
- 1 15-ounce can pumpkin puree
- 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare your pie crust by placing it into a 9-inch pie dish and crimping the edges.
- In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and smooth the top.
- Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 35-40 minutes.
- Remove from oven when the center is just slightly jiggly. A knife inserted near the center should come out mostly clean.
- Cool the pie at room temperature for 2 hours, then refrigerate for another 1-2 hours before serving.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
Notes
- Use a foil ring or pie shield halfway through baking to prevent the crust edges from burning.
- Let the pie chill completely before slicing for the cleanest cut and best texture.
- You can make the pie a day ahead—flavors deepen overnight in the fridge.
