- 1 cup white chocolate chips or finely chopped white chocolate
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract or 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar plus extra for coating
- Optional: extra orange zest or finely shredded coconut for garnish
Instructions
- Place white chocolate in a heatproof bowl. In a small saucepan, heat butter and cream over low-medium heat until hot but not boiling.
- Pour hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 1–2 minutes. Stir until smooth and fully melted.
- Stir in vanilla extract, orange extract (or juice), orange zest, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually sift in powdered sugar, stirring until a thick, dough-like mixture forms.
- Cover and chill the mixture for 1–2 hours in the fridge or 30–40 minutes in the freezer.
- Scoop the firm mixture using a spoon or small scoop and roll into balls.
- Roll each truffle in powdered sugar. Optionally, garnish with coconut or more zest.
- Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes before serving to set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
