- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 pound Ground Pork
- 1 cup Plain Bread Crumbs (or Italian bread crumbs)
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups Marinara Sauce
- 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese (cubed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a large loaf pan with cooking spray.
- Mix the ground beef, ground pork, plain bread crumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, eggs, and 1 cup of marinara sauce in a large bowl.
- Cube the mozzarella cheese and fold it into the meat mixture.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 150°F.
- Spread the remaining marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella.
- Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
