This Copycat McDonald’s Big Mac delivers everything you love about the original—juicy thin beef patties, shredded lettuce, tangy pickles, and the famous special sauce—all made fresh in your own kitchen.

- 2 burger patties (80/20 ground beef)
- 3 sesame seed burger buns
- 2 slices American cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 4–6 dill pickle slices
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 3 tablespoons special sauce (see note)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Butter, for toasting buns
Instructions
- Mix the special sauce ingredients and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Divide ground beef into two thin patties, about 4 inches wide. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2 minutes per side until browned.
- Butter and toast the buns until golden. Trim one bun to make the middle piece.
- Spread sauce on the bottom bun, top with lettuce, onion, pickles, cheese, and one patty.
- Add the middle bun and repeat layering: sauce, lettuce, onion, patty (cheese optional).
- Top with the final bun, press gently, and serve immediately with fries or onion rings.
