Description
Bold & Buttery Cuban Garlic Bread Sandwiches are crispy, melty, and packed with flavor. Enjoy layers of savory ham, gooey melted cheese, and fresh herbs.

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 slices rustic sourdough or Cuban bread
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 8 slices deli ham or prosciutto
- Optional: yellow mustard or sliced pickles
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine softened butter, olive oil, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper to create the garlic herb butter.
- Spread the garlic butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of half the slices, layer Swiss cheese, ham or prosciutto, and mozzarella cheese.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and toast sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing down lightly with a spatula.
- Cook until the outside is golden and crispy and the cheese is melted inside.
- Let rest for one minute, then slice and garnish with more parsley.
- Serve warm, optionally with mustard or pickles on the side.
