Ingredients
- ½ pound fresh green beans
- 6 slices thin-sliced bacon
- ½ cup honey French salad dressing
- Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Lay bacon slices on a rimmed baking sheet and partially cook for 8-10 minutes until slightly rendered. Drain on paper towels.
- Trim the ends off the fresh green beans.
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3-5 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Drain and rinse with cold water.
- Divide the blanched green beans into small bundles of 5-7 beans each.
- Cut each partially cooked bacon slice in half.
- Wrap a half-slice of bacon around each green bean bundle, securing with a toothpick.
- Place the bacon wrapped green bean bundles in a glass baking dish.
- Drizzle the honey French dressing over the bundles, ensuring the bacon is coated.
- Season with freshly ground black pepper.
- Bake for 45 minutes, turning the bundles halfway through, until the bacon is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oven and let rest briefly before serving.
